Film locations in Roma

If you walk around Rome long enough you are bound to run into a film location. On my walk in Borghese Gardens this morning I stumbled upon yet another film set. I love to see crews at work, no matter what country you are in you will see the same activities performed by highly trained specialists. I love the way films are made, everyone stiving for perfection in their own creative domain to bring to life the artistic vision of the dirtector. What is usually suprising to someone on a film set for the first time, is the long waiting between scene 'takes' If you hang around long enough you will observe that its not the actors rehersing, its usually about getting the lighting right, which is more demanding for exteriors. But I guess if you are Stanley Kubrick the time it takes to get a 'take' is probably about the director.
